SEA acts as a conduit to transfer funds to the most needed areas of wildlife rescue and rehabilitation in South America.  At the moment,  SEA is concentrating funds on Merazonia,  a wildlife rescue and rehabilitation center currently under construction in Mera, Ecuador.  Mera is located on the edge of the Amazon Basin, and is home to an outstanding degree of biodiversity and natural beauty.  Merazonia will be a center for the rehabilitation of Amazonian animals that have been rescued from illegal and unhealthy situations, and a sanctuary for those animals who have been too severely injured or imprinted by humans to be released.
