SEA was started in 2005, after my journey through South America, which included volunteering with animal rescue centers.  I was privileged to work with several wild and lovely animals, and follow their progress from intake to healthy and happy critters ready to return to the wild.  The animals are stunning in their beauty and resilience.  It is difficult to explain the honor you feel when you have earned a puma’s trust and can give him a scratch behind the ears, or when you watch a rehabilitated  eagle take flight into endless blue.  Apart from the knowledge of how integral these animals are to keeping our ecosystem healthy, they have individual personalities, gifts and abilities that punctuate the necessity of this work.

Currently SEA has no administrative costs.  The organization is run from our homes, we accept no compensation, and we are able to transfer all donations to where they are most needed.  Your donations will help to fund medical care and food costs, build cages for recovering animals, and large enclosures for animals unable to return to the wild.
